Feline Vaccination Protocols


No vaccinations prior to 6 weeks of age
Kitten Vaccination Series
  • 6-8 weeks of age:   FVRCP #1
  • 10-12 weeks of age:   FVRCP #2
  • 14-16 weeks of age:   FVRCP #3
RABIES vaccination:
  • 12 weeks of age and older
  • Prefer to vaccinate 14 to 16 weeks
  • First vaccine valid for a year; Adult vaccine valid for 3 years
LEUKEMIA vaccination:
  • 9 weeks of age and older
  • Initial series consists of two vaccinations 3-4 weeks apart then yearly
CORE VACCINES:
  • FVRCP & RABIES
  • These vaccines are recommended for all cats
NON-CORE VACCINES:
  • LEUKEMIA
  • This vaccine is elective depending on lifestyle and exposure to other cats
NOTE: Vaccinations are not indicated for pregnant cats
