Canine Vaccination Protocols

No vaccinations prior to 6 weeks of age
Puppy Vaccination Series:
  • 6-8 weeks of age:   DHPP or DHLPP #1
  • 10-12 weeks of age:   DHLPP #2
  • 14-16 weeks of age:   DHLPP #3
RABIES vaccination:
  • 12 weeks of age and older
  • Prefer to vaccinate 14-16 weeks of age
  • First vaccination valid for a year; Adult vaccine valid for 3 years
LYME vaccination:
  • 9 weeks of age and older
  • Initial series consists of two vaccinations 3-4 weeks apart and then yearly
CORONA vaccination:
  • 6 weeks of age and older
  • Initial series consists of two vaccinations 3-4 weeks apart and then yearly
BORDETELLA vaccination:
  • 6 weeks of age and older using intra-nasal vaccine
  • Yearly vaccine
  • *Should be given no later than two weeks prior to boarding*
CORE VACCINES:
  • DHLPP & RABIES
  • These vaccines are recommended for all dogs
NON-CORE VACCINES:
  • LYME, CORONA & BORDETELLA
  • These vaccines are elective depending on lifestyle and exposure to other dogs
NOTE: Vaccinations are not indicated for pregnant dogs
